Taking the Next Step
That's pretty much it for this lesson. Hopefully these chords are starting to feel a bit more comfortable under your fingers. For the next step in your studies, there's a few different things you can do:
  1. Get a songbook from one of your favorite artists that uses chords shown in this lesson and learn some of their tunes.
  2. Take the "A Guide For Beginners - More Minor Chords" lesson in which we tackle some of the harder types of minor chords. After you master this lesson, you'll be able to play any minor chord that comes your way.
  3. Take the "A Guide For Beginners - Strumming" lesson to help get your strumming hand in order and to learn how to make the chords you play sound like a song.
The most important thing is to have fun, and don't get too frustrated. Even Hendrix started off by learning his major and minor chords. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them in the Instructional Forum at WholeNote, which is a good resource for instructional advice.
