So now that we know our basic hammer-ons and pull-offs, let's play some licks featuring these techniques. Incidentally, this type of playing is called legato which means "smoothly" or "connected", and can enable you to play faster licks in a much more fluid manner. Mms. 1-2 exclusively feature hammer-ons, mms. 3-4 feature pull-offs, and the last half of the example is a lick using both.
