This example uses the box pattern for the E minor pentatonic to play a bluesy run. One idea used repeatedly is the bend from the A to the B on the 3rd string (14th fret to 16th fret), followed by the B on the second string and the E on the 1st string. We see this at the end of measure 1, in beat 2 of measure 3, and in beat 1 of measure 5. This pattern is classic Hendrix, and becoming familiar with it is a big part of unlocking Jimi's style as well as a few other players.
