Now that you know the basic forms, let's try combining them to create some longer fingerings for the minor pentatonic scale. In mms. 1-2, we start off using the 5th form based around the F and shown in the last page. We switch to the 1st form (based on the G) at measure 1 - beat 3, and then end up using the second form (based on the Bb) at measure 2 - beat 2. When we descend, we go back through the forms to end up where we started.
Mms. 5-8 illustrate the same concept except we start on the 3rd form and then move to the 4th form and then the 5th form.
