Here's the shuffle in its most basic form. Our chord is E (presumably the first chord in an E blues) and we're just using two notes to define the chord. By including the C# and the D in our chords along with the low E, we obtain the classic blues shuffle comping that sounds so familiar. This progression will be the basis for a lot of the examples in this lesson. Set your loop count to infinite and play along with the example below until it feels good under your fingers...
