So far, for our E blues, we've seen how to play the E and the A chord, but what about the B chord. The example below shows how the last 4 measures of a 12 bar E blues might sound using our shuffle technique. For the B in measure 9, fret the low B with your first finger, and the F# at the 4th fret on the 4th string with your middle finger. This will free up your ring and pinky fingers to play the little fill at the end of measure 9. For the E and the A, we don't have to worry about this, since part of our chord is being covered by open strings...
