OK, so let's put it all together in a 12 bar blues in E. We use our main shuffle technique in measures 1-3, and pull out the drone technique on the E chord in measure 4 leading to the A. When we hit the A chord in measure 5, we drone the top two notes of an A7 chord. Use your 1st finger to bar the 2nd-4th strings at the 2nd fret to free up your other finger for the little fills in measure 5-6. We return to our basic comping in measures 7-8, and use the same comping from page 6 to play over the B and A chords in measures 9-10. The drone technique returns for the E in measure 11, and we finish off with a nice arpeggiated B7 chord.
