Now, let the string skipping begin. The example below shows a basic pattern in which we play alternating notes in our fingering, and are constantly skipping strings. When we ascend, we play the 6th, 4th, and 2nd strings, and when we descend, we play the 1st, 3rd, and 5th strings. Note the use of hammer-ons and pull-offs which favor a more legato-slurred type of feel. You can pick each note if you want, but I find it easier to use hammers and pulls.

All the examples from here on out are shown at full speed, so slow down the tempo until you have it under your fingers, and then slowly crank it up till it's fast and furious...
