I think this example pretty much sums up how fluid this technique can be. Again, there's no magic here. It's simply a function of knowing a few different patterns and combining them in interesting ways. Also, remember that phrasing is just as important as being able to pull off long 8th or 16th note runs. One of the reasons why I find this lick to be a bit more interesting than the others is the little hitch in measure 1, which allows the lick to flow better than if we had just continually played 8th notes...
