C Ionian
An Ionian scale is when you play from the root of the key to an octave above, so for C Ionian,
the notes are:
- C · D · E · F · G · A · B · C
Each mode has an associated chord that is comprised of the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th degrees of
the mode. For C Ionian, this chord is a C Major 7 and the notes it contains are:
