The Bb Major Chord
Now that you've become an expert with barre chords, it's time to learn one more. This fingering is a bit more difficult because it actually uses two barres - one for your 1st finger, and another for your 3rd. The fingering for a Bb major chord is shown below:

So how do you go about fingering this? Take your first finger and lay it across the 1st 5 strings on the 1st fret. Now take your 3rd finger and lay it across the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th strings on the 3rd fret. Yes, this is even harder than the F chord, and even more painful, but eventually this will become second nature - again, trust me on this one. Try strumming it. It's OK if some notes don't ring. That's natural. In time,
all the notes will ring loud and true. The important thing is that you now know the two basic barre chord forms for all major chords!.
Try playing the music example below, set your loop count to "Forever" in your preferences at the bottom
of the page, hit the play button, wait for the music to start, and try to play along with the example.
It'll help you become more comfortable with
the chord.
